Low-maintenance style calls for a utilitarian hair accessory - and that’s were the claw hair clip comes into its own.
A child of the 90s, the claw hair clip is enjoying a renaissance along with Uggs (opens in new tab), The North Face puffer jackets (opens in new tab) and Adidas poppers.
The claw's revival even comes with a certain degree of fanfare. Bella Hadid has been campaigning for the claw clip's comeback for the past two years.

Singler Dua Lipa is a convert and off-duty models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Alexa Chung have also jumped on the trend. In fact, it was this picture of Rosie HW sporting a gorgeous undone up-do that really sold the accessory to us.

So why all the hype around claw hair clips? Other up-dos involve a degree of skill - otherwise they deteriorate into the sort of messy twist-while-cleansing-over-the-sink bun. But the claw clip is no fuss and takes all of a millisecond to affix to the head.
Simply clip away a ponytail into the jaws of a jumbo claw, try a half pony or quickly secure wet hair into a snag-free slicked back bun. Either way, the buzzword here is ‘effortless’ and surely that's precisely our vibe these days.
The claw's comeback is also timely, with most of us grappling with grown-out straggly ends that become even more bothersome when they become entwined with the earloops on our face coverings. A claw clip corrals all that unkempt, three-day-old hair into a pretty little retro up-do.
Seriously, what's not to love?
