On your marks, get set...bake! The Great Comic Relief Bake Off celebrity bakers have been revealed.
Less than a week to go until we get our Bake Off fix again! It’s been months since we saw Mary Berry and her fabulous wardrobe of floral jackets on our screens, and the thought of her returning alongside fellow judge Paul Hollywood for Comic Relief Bake Off makes us more than a little bit excited.
Adding to the anticipation this year is the fabulous celebrity line-up, which reads like a recipe for great entertainment. From sitcom stars to presenters, and even a YouTube star, we’re hoping the four-episode series will result in some memorable moments – even if the bakes are best forgotten!
The first episode will be aired Wednesday 11th February BBC One. Click through to see which celebrities you’ll be rooting for next week…
As celebrities famous for all manner of talents, from a flare for fashion to their comedic value, battle for the title of Master Baker - who will rise triumphantly and who will sink under pressure?
Mary and Paul prove that no-one is resistant to their charms, as fashionista Alexa Chung and former Radio 1 Breakfast Show presenter Chris Moyles line up to take part.
Comedian David Mitchell's top culinary gadget is a pizza cutter - which leads us to believe that his kitchen skills might not be so brilliant! Fellow contestant Jameela Jamil has 'never cooked'. We're looking forward to seeing what these two bring to the table!
Gok Wan and Jonathan Ross are taking part - we're predicting one or two pranks!
Will Lulu's baking skills leave the judges wanting to shout in excitement or disappointment? Well, we wouldn't want to face the wrath of Mary Berry - would you?
The odds are in favour of grandmother Lulu, whose feisty attitude might just see her through to the final.
Will Jennifer Saunders prove that she makes an ab fab cake? The odds aren't looking great, since she admitted that she doesn't 'particularly like cake' (how?!)
Still, Jennifer has admitted to being a fan of the show, so maybe she's picked up some vital tips and tricks.
We're not sure how Joanna will fare against this year's celebrity contestants, but we are hoping for one or two boozy bakes! And no matter how many disasters she gets herself into, we're sure she'll be able to charm Mary Berry regardless.
Champagne and strwaberry tart, anyone?
It's a big statement to make ahead of the series, but Dame Edna has already claimed to be a 'superb baker' - will she live up to it when the time comes? We're hoping for plenty of beautifully colourful cakes.
You might not have heard of her yet, but with 7 million YouTube subscribers, video blogger Zoella is a huge hit amongst teenagers. She readily admits to being a fan of Bake Off, and we think her creative side may put her at an advantage when it comes to wowing the judges.
Check her YouTube account during the show - we're hoping for a behind-the-scenes vlog!
Something tells us that Jonathan will be too busy keeping his fellow contestant amused to do too much actual baking!
The presenter is a fan of comics, so we're hoping that he'll charm Mary with one or two uniquely-themed bakes.
