It's somehow been a whole year since Taylor Swift surprised us with her lockdown album Folklore.

Her eighth studio album, which wasn't planned, consisted of 16 new songs, including Cardigan and The Lakes.  Now, a year later, Taylor has delighted fans by posting two new pictures to her Instagram page and also releasing an orchestral version of The Lakes.

The black and white Instagram pictures, which have already had over two million likes, see the star walking along a beach and holding coffees. While the message, which she posted alongside the photos is an anniversary message to her album.

Taylor posted the pictures, along with a message, which said: "It’s been one year since we escaped the real world together and imagined ourselves someplace simpler. With tall tall trees and salt air. Where you’re allowed to wear lace nightgowns that make you look like a Victorian ghost every day & no one will side eye you cause no one is around."

She continued with a surprise for her fans, "It’s just you and your imaginary cabin and the stories you make up to pass the time. To say thank you for all you have done to make this album what it was, I wanted to give you the original version of The Lakes. Happy 1 year anniversary to Rebekah, Betty, Inez, James, Augustine, and the lives we all created around them."

While the Shake it Off singer finished with, "Happy Anniversary, folklore."

Rumours are circulating that the pop star and Adele could be pairing up to do a duet. According to the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC), the two songstresses are both registered for a track titled "Broken Hearts," which is also listed as "Shattered Hearts."

Pop's powerhouses have many a breakup track under their belts, and the two joining forces will simply be mind-blowing.

There's no word on when or where listeners can hear the tune, but considering Taylor just dropped a song with Big Red Machine titled "Renegade"—and considering she's known for back-to-back releases—we're not ruling this duet out of the realm of nearby possibilities.
