Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, attended a solo engagement on Thursday, November 24, 2022, and rocked the perfect autumnal look.

A post from the Royal Family showed Sophie chatting with a group of children as they visited London Zoo in Regent's Park. The children, who are supported by the Community Children’s Nursing team, joined the royal for some festive-themed activities.

The post revealed that these activities are part of the Zoological Society of London’s Community Access Scheme, which aims to bring more people closer to wildlife and learn about their conservation work.

It was also revealed that this engagement was particularly important for the Countess, as the event had significant royal links to members of the extended Royal Family. The caption explained Sophie visited an aviary that the late Queen Elizabeth II visited and was designed by Princess Margaret's late husband, the 1st Earl of Snowdon.

"During the visit, Her Royal Highness also visited the recently restored Snowdon Aviary, which was first designed in the 1960s by the late Earl of Snowdon, and was visited by Queen Elizabeth in 1967," read the caption.

The post also revealed that this charity was particularly close to the late Queen's heart for another reason as she was formerly a patron of the organization. "Her late Majesty The Queen was ZSL’s Patron from 1953 until her death in September," revealed the caption.

The countess was snapped admiring some of the ring-tailed lemurs with some of the children supported by the charity. The Countess even got stuck into the zookeeping lifestyle as she was photographed feeding a Golden-Headed Lion Tamarin and a Red Titi Monkey.

The Countess looked particularly chic with her choice of fall wardrobe. Sophie looked stunning as she paired forest green wide-leg trousers with a perfectly clashing, plum purple knitted sweater.

These jewel tones perfectly complemented the Countess' peaches and cream complexion and drew attention to the lighter points of her look including her pale grey suede boots and her blonde half-up hairstyle.

Made from fluid crepe, these dark-green trousers have full-length wide legs and deep front pleats with a concealed zip closure for a discreet finish. The light fabric makes them perfect for summer.

The Countess completed this chic look with a long grey buttoned coat and a matching blue and grey bird pattered scarf. These neutral colored garments allowed her other jewel tones to pop and add cooler tones to this warm winter look.
