Sophie Wessex ditches royal demeanor as she sports army gear to play video games in epic new photos
Sophie Wessex showed her laid-back side for her latest royal engagement

Sophie Wessex made sure to let loose when she spent the day with the RAF this week, getting to grips with virtual gaming as she took on a special challenge.
- Sophie Wessex paid a visit to a Royal Air Force base to spend time with personnel taking part in the annual Countess of Wessex Cup.
- Taking part in the tournament herself, Sophie was photographed donning full camouflage while trying her hand at gaming.
- This royal news comes after a hilarious Princess Diana and Prince Charles parenting moment was unearthed in rare footage.
Royal fans were thrilled to see the Sophie Wessex, who lives at Bagshot Park with husband Prince Edward and children Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn, giving it her all as she took part in the contest.
Looking the part, Sophie joined members of various military regiments to compete and was snapped reclining in a gaming chair, rocking a huge pair of headphones and gripping a steering wheel controller as she intently took on a virtual car race.
More images from the special day were shared on The Royal Family Instagram page, showing Sophie smiling with her teammates and getting stuck into the official engagement.
“Going head to head for the Cup were personnel from RAF Wittering, the Royal Corps of Army Music, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps , HMS Daring and the 5th Battalion, The Rifles. HRH’s Canadian Regiments joined in remotely,” the caption beside the upload explained.
