Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has shared an intimate look inside her countryside estate. The Duchess, and Prince Andrew’s former wife, was promoting the latest in a series of videos where she reads an afternoon story to her followers.
In the picture, she can be seen sitting at a table with what appears to be a picnic spread, holding up a stuffed bear. We’re guessing a teddy bear’s picnic theme?
Alongside the image, she wrote, ‘Today at 4pm on @storytimewithfergieandfriends I am going to be reading Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell, at my Teddy Bear’s Picnic, and my guest friend is Alexandra Wetherell @amwetherell #storytimewithfergieandfriends #childrensbooks #books #stories.’
The Duchess shares her stunning countryside estate Royal Lodge in Windsor with her daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and ex-husband Prince Andrew. The Grade II-listed Royal Lodge was originally built to enable George IV to entertain guests during Royal Ascot.
Breaking her silence on the recent scandal centred around her ex husband, she said, “When I talk about Prince Andrew, I talk about family because the last six months have been hard on the girls and me.”

It’s thought that Royal Lodge is now Sarah’s permanent residence, but the size of the mansion allows the pair to live separately.
In a radio interview in 2016, Fergie explained, “I’m in and out all the time and he’s in and out all the time.”
It’s reported that Sarah also divides her time between her Windsor home and hers and Andrew’s joint-owned chalet in Verbier, Switzerland.
