The Queen made her second public appearance since her Platinum Jubilee celebrations ended on Tuesday, hosting the Archbishop of Canterbury for an in-person audience at Windsor Castle.
The special engagement, which just so happened to fall on Prince William's 40th birthday, saw Her Majesty accept an honor for her 'unstinting' service to the Church of England throughout her 70-year-long reign. The 96-year-old was presented with a special Canterbury Cross by the current Archbishop, Justin Welby, as a token of the church's 'gratitude' and 'love, loyalty and, affection' for the monarch.
It comes just a week after the Royal Family released a photo of the Queen's 90s fashion choice at the Order of the Garter ceremony with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla on June 14.
Her Majesty appears to have had a subtle makeover in the last week, showing up to the Throne Room yesterday with a notably sharper 'do for her meeting with the Archbishop.
The Queen's hair appeared to be shorter than it was at her last two events, suggesting she's had it cut and restyled at Windsor Castle at some point since last Monday.
Royal fans were quick to note the difference in length, with some taking to Twitter to share their reaction.
"The Queen looks so pretty with her summer haircut," one person commented.

"So happy to see Her Majesty looking so well and healthy. Beautiful outfit and I love her new haircut," another Royal Family follower wrote.
The Queen, who was not photographed with her usual walking stick during the engagement, paired her fresh hairdo with a pink and green floral dress and her signature pearl jewelry.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and salons across the UK closed their doors, Her Majesty was forced to seek alternative ways to keep her silvery-white bob maintained. The identity of the Queen's lockdown hairdresser was recently revealed to be Angela Kelly, her personal assistant, and stylist. The Liverpudlian designer was one of the 30 VIPs who were isolated in the 'HMS Bubble' with the royal matriarch at Windsor Castle during the height of COVID-19, and was reportedly one of the only staff members on-site qualified to cut hair properly.
