Prince William has massively impressed royal fans on his latest engagement, after swapping his usual formal suit for medical scrubs and overshoes.
The Duke of Cambridge, 39, visited The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea on Tuesday morning to learn about the London facility's 'life-saving treatment' for cancer patients and to thank its staff for their 'inspirational work.' His engagement comes shortly after he awarded Deborah James a damehood in honor of the terminally ill podcaster's incredible fundraising for cancer.
After introductions with the unit's dedicated team were complete, Prince William was invited by Consultant Interventional Radiologist Dr. Nicos Fotiadis to join doctors in the operating theatre to watch a live surgery.
In keeping with health and safety protocol, he undressed out of his blue suit and changed into maroon scrubs, overshoes, and a medical cap before entering the room. At this point, Dr. Fotiadis explained to the Duke how the technology they would be using, known as robot-guided microwave ablation, was less invasive than other forms of cancer treatment.
Prince William then made his way outside The Royal Marsden, where he dropped into the hospital's 'Man Van' to learn more about the work of the mobile service. The clinic-on-wheels was launched in March 2022 to provide greater healthcare access to men, who are statistically less likely than women to get regular GP checkups.

Speaking to Dr. Masood Moghul and Advanced Nurse Practitioner Fionnuala McCarthy inside the vehicle, the Duke was informed how their work starts with encouraging patients to undergo a simple blood test.

Prince William's visit to the hospital has been highly praised by royal fans, many of whom have pointed out how comfortable the future King looks in the medical environment.
"He would make a great Dr Prince William," one person said on The Royal Family Youtube channel, while another commented on the Cambridge couple's Instagram, "Paging Dr. Cambridge!"
Others were quick to compliment the dad-of-three's toned arms, which, along with his chest hairs, were notably on display in the operating theatre.
"When PW wears the scrubs, we're offered a rare view of his shoulder & upper arm muscles that we usually can't see when he's fully armored in a suit," said one impressed fan. "He exercises at home alright! He can carry all 3 of his children on his back in 1 try if he wants to."
"Thank you for staying fit, your royal highness!" another person said on Twitter.
