Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends found it 'ironic' he asked them to comment for his upcoming memoir after years of secrecy
It has been revealed that Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends were asked to comment on his memoir which is set to be released in January
A source has claimed that Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends and other former pals were asked to contribute to his memoir. But some of them were unimpressed with this sudden change of heart about his privacy.
- Last week, the release date for Prince Harry's memoir 'Spare' was confirmed.
- The Prince revealed that this tell-all memoir will be released in January of 2023.

Prince Harry's memoir is set to cause quite a stir for the Royal Family as the Duke of Sussex plans to release a tell-all book about his early life and his experiences growing up in the Royal Family.
It has now been revealed that the Prince has also requested that some of his childhood friends and ex-girlfriends spoke to his ghostwriter. The Sun revealed that at least one of his former close friends was shocked by this request after years of being sworn to secrecy and told to never talk to the press.
A source told The Sun, “Harry did reach out. Friends and girlfriends were polite and said they would think about it but ultimately most said No."
The insider source then added, "It was felt to be kind of ironic that Harry would hit the roof if he ever had an inkling they spoke to the media, but now he wants them to when he needs their help."
Although it is unclear if his prominent girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas were approached, these were two of Prince Harry's long-term girlfriends before he met Meghan Markle, and probably the ones who would have the most to contribute to a memoir like this.
Who are Prince Harry's ex-girlfriends?
Chelsy Davy
Chelsy Davy from Zimbabwe was Prince Harry's on-again-off-again girlfriend from 2004 until 2010. The pair met when Chelsy was a boarder at Stowe School and Harry was in the year above at Eton. Chelsy was invited to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011 and also attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in 2018. Chelsy is now married to hotelier Sam Cutmore-Scott, and as of early 2022, the pair have a son named Leo.

Cressida Bonas
Cressida Bonas is an actress and model who Prince Harry dated from 2012 to 2014. The pair were reportedly introduced by Princess Eugenie and remained friends after their breakup as she attended Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle. In 2020, Cressida got married to property investor Harry Wentworth-Stanley, the pair confirmed in July 2022 that they are expecting their first child.
Harry's book is set to be released in January 2023, but originally it was thought that the memoir would be released before Christmas and New Year in 2022.
Apparently, the book has been edited on a few occasions and the royal insider revealed that the Prince and the publishers wanted certain aspects of the book to be edited. "The book has been back and forth between Harry and JR Moehringer and the publishers a few times. They wanted more than was in the first draft, and then Harry wanted to refine things after the Queen passed away," said the source.
The source then revealed that there is also a 'real concern' that in order to add interest to the book, Prince Harry may have had to share more details about his life than he was comfortable sharing.
“But there has been extra toing and froing that people don’t know about. This is because the publishers wanted more areas covered and more detail on some things that were already included," said the insider. "There is a real concern that that means Harry has had to sex up the book and include revelations that even he might not even be that comfortable with."
