Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla took to social media to share some sweet images of themselves and their pet pooches in sweet outfits in order to raise awareness about a very special cause.

The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla are the owners of two Jack Russel Terriers who they adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats home.

The charity has just launched a new campaign for pet adoption titled 'wear blue for rescue'. This campaign hopes to raise awareness and money for Battersea Dog and Cat Home by encouraging supporters to dress themselves—and their pets—in the blue colors that support pet adoption.

Duchess Camilla, who is a patron of this brand, celebrated this new campaign by dressing her pets in a Battersea dogs home neckerchief. The dog's bright blue neckerchiefs were decorated with a logo of a heart-shaped nose with a smiling mouth and whiskers.

The caption of the post read, "🐕 Bluebell and Beth, The Duchess of Cornwall’s rescue dogs, are proud to show off their Wear Blue for Rescue bandanas as they support @battersea’s new campaign.

"The rescue movement celebrates all the wonderful pets that just need a second chance.

"The Duchess adopted both Beth and Bluebell from @battersea Dogs & Cats Home, a charity that has rehomed more than three million animals since being founded in 1860. 🐶 🐱 HRH is Royal Patron of @battersea. #RescueIsMyFavouriteBreed"

Fans loved this important message from the royals and many took to the comment section to thank the couple for sharing this post.

"How adorable!! Thank you for saving lives and supporting those who have no voice ❤️" said one fan. "Beautiful dogs 😍. And such a wonderful happy couple ❤️" said another.

This isn't the first time that the Duchess of Cornwall has enlisted her dogs to help her support this charity organization.

In 2020, the Duchess took her dog named Beth to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in Old Windsor. The Duchess of Cornwall's adorable dog stole the spotlight as they revealed a plaque at the charity's new facility.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall aren't the only members of the royal family who love being dog owners and there are other rescue dogs that have been adopted by the royal bunch. The royal family owns a rescue dog named Roxy who is a working Staffordshire Bull Terrier who works as a protective dog for the Royal Family.

The Queen also has a known love of corgis and dorgis and reportedly these pets have been a huge support to her since the death of Prince Philip.

Recently, Kate Middleton and Prince William were spotted with an adorable new family member, a black Cocker Spaniel who looked just like their previous dog Lupo who sadly passed away in November 2020.
