Meghan Markle's five best acting roles: From Suits to Anti-Social
The world knows Meghan Markle as the Duchess of Sussex, but before she married Prince Harry last year, she had an impressive repertoire of acting credits.
Starring in both film and TV, 37-year-old Meghan is mostly known for her work in USA legal drama Suits, where she played the role of Rachel Zane. She starred in this role for seven years before stepping down to work on royal engagements.
Even though Meghan’s acting career is over, she sees her retirement as a positive thing. In her post-engagement interview, she explained, "I have ticked this box and I feel really proud of the work I have done there and now it’s time to work as a team."
You might not be aware of all of Meghan’s roles, so we took a look at some of her best moments throughout her acting career.
Suits (2011 – 2018)
Rachel Zane was definitely Meghan’s breakout role, and her most talked about one too. She appeared in a whopping 108 episodes, seven seasons in total.
The Duchess invited some of her co-stars to her wedding, with actress Gina Torres admitting she was "surprised" to be invited and that it was "an incredible step in her life" during an interview on the Today show.

Horrible Bosses (2011)
You may have missed her role in Seth Gordon’s popular US comedy film, starring top-billed cast such as Jennifer Anniston and Jason Bateman.
Before she achieved global success in Suits, Meghan played a FedEx worker who Jason Sudeiki’s character flirts with. In the scene, he describes her as being "too cute to just be a FedEx girl".

When Sparks Fly (2014)
This role was Meghan’s first appearance in a Hallmark TV film, where she plays the role of Amy Peterson, a reporter who goes back to her hometown during Fourth of July and realises she still loves her ex-boyfriend.
She starred alongside Lochlyn Munro in the film.
Anti-Social (2015)
This is very different from Meghan’s other roles, as she plays a devoted girlfriend of a graffiti artist in this heist-thriller who gets mixed up in a jewellery heist.
The films are supposedly based on true events in London across a variety of crimes, including the 2009 Graff Diamonds heist to the 2013 Selfridges robbery.
Dater's Handbook (2016)
Meghan starred in a Hallmark Channel film where she played the role of Cassandra Brand, a businesswoman who tries to fit the rules of a dating guidebook in order to find a husband.
She starred alongside Kristoffer Polaha and Jonathan Scarfe in the straight-to-TV film.

Alongside these roles, the Duchess has also appeared in popular US TV shows such as CSI: Miami, CSI: NY and 90210. She even appeared on the American version of Deal or No Deal as a briefcase model.
So whilst Meghan’s acting days are behind her, she’s clearly had a lot of fun doing it. We’d love to know your thoughts on Meghan’s above roles, and if we’ve missed any of your favourites.
