Meghan Markle's brother has spoken out, yet again, in an open letter to his sister and her husband Prince Harry. Although he's previously badmouthed his half sibling, it appears he's had a change of heart towards his estranged family member.
- Meghan Markle's brother Thomas Markle Jr has proven himself a fan of open letters in the past.
- His latest is written from Australia’s 'Big Brother VIP' house, which he has been starring in.
- In other royal news, Kate Middleton and Prince William could make huge change to George and Charlotte's lives to save Queen from 'solitude'.
Ahead of entering the reality show, Meghan Markle's brother claimed he 'warned' Prince Harry about his sister. In a surprising turn of events, it appears that he's decided to apologize for his unkind and humiliating words.
Reading his letter aloud, Thomas Jr said, “Dear Meghan and Harry, the first thing I want to say to both of you is that I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart for the awful, mean letter that I wrote to you prior to your wedding.”
“I want both of you to know it did not come from the real person that I am, but came from a very dark and hurt part of my heart ," he continued. "I am not a mean person at all, and I have more love inside me to give than anything."
Thomas added that he was hugely offended when his sister referred to him as "distant family."
He explained, “I was very hurt and confused because of the amazing bond and relationship we shared growing up together and all I could do was put up a defense wall to protect my heart. I know that it was very immature and wrong and I truly regret it.”
As well as feeling affronted by the apparent denial of their familial relationship, he also mentioned how hard it was to deal with suddenly being dragged into the public eye.
Thomas Jr added, “I, along with everyone in our family, became public figures overnight. No more privacy. And let me tell you it was very, very stressful to have to deal with [that] all alone and no help at all,” he said.
He described the experience as, “a real nightmare and constant pressure. I wish I could turn back the clock and do it all over, knowing what I know now.”
Thomas Junior shares a father, Thomas Markle, with his sister. He's also estranged from his daughter and has appeared on TV and in print several times to discuss her. Thomas Senior even recently suggested he could sue Meghan Markle to see his grandchildren.
Meghan Markle's brother ended his letter by apologizing again and admitting he'd been a 'complete ass.'
