Meghan Markle's brother Thomas Markle Jr. is already making waves in the Australian Celebrity Big Brother, Big Brother Australia VIP, and the show hasn't even kicked off.
In a promo trailer for the show, the royal's half-sibling says, "I’m Meghan Markle’s brother, I’m the biggest brother of them all." However, it's the line after that has everyone talking. He adds, "I told Prince Harry, I think she’s going to ruin your life. She’s very shallow."
The trailer also features the disembodied voice of 'Big Brother' who tells viewers that he's been on the hunt for the most fascinating stars to take part in this year’s highly anticipated show.
Meghan's brother was confirmed as a contestant on this year's celebrity version of the Channel 7 reality show Big Brother Australia VIP only days before the trailer was released. The news comes just as Meghan Markle is busy with her 40th birthday celebrations and accepting well-wishes from royalty, celebrities, dignitaries and people from all walks of life across the globe.
Thomas Jr., the older half-brother of Meghan, is notoriously estranged from his royal sibling. Sadly for the Duchess of Sussex, her difficult relationship with some family members has been well documented in the media—by said family members' own volition. This is unfortunately another example of such behavior.
The American construction worker was seen at Sydney Airport on Thursday, July 22, before being transported to a hotel to begin the 14-day long self-isolation that's imposed by the Australian government.
One of the proposed celebrity contestants who chose to ignore said rules, the controversial British public figure Katie Hopkins, was booted from the show owing to her lack of respect for the rules in place.
The 'fascinating' people who've made this season's cut include former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner, Married At First Sight star Jessika Power, and former advisor to Donald Trump Omarosa Manigault Newman.
