Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Thanksgiving plans revealed following heartbreaking miscarriage
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their son Archie will enjoy their first Thanksgiving as a family in the US
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are enjoying their first Thanksgiving in the US as a family following the Duchess' brave revelation that she miscarried her second child in the summer.
- The family will enjoy a homecooked meal with traditional Thanksgiving dishes
- They will make recipes using fresh ingredients from their garden
- This follows royal news that Harry is being supported by Prince William and Prince Charles
Meghan, Harry and little Archie are believed to be sitting down to a traditional homecooked meal at their £11 million home in the celebrity hotspot of Santa Barbara.
"They are going to have a quiet dinner at home and are looking forward to celebrating their first American Thanksgiving in the states as a family," a source revealed.
"They plan to enjoy a homecooked meal with traditional Thanksgiving dishes, including recipes made with fresh vegetables from their garden."
The family meal comes after Meghan revealed in a New York Times opinion piece that she suffered the miscarriage on an ordinary day, as she was changing Archie, who was born last year.
However, she instantly knew what had happened: "I knew, as I clutched my firstborn child, that I was losing my second.
"Hours later, I lay in a hospital bed, holding my husband’s hand. I felt the clamminess of his palm and kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears. Staring at the cold white walls, my eyes glazed over. I tried to imagine how we’d heal.

"Losing a child means carrying an almost unbearable grief, experienced by many but talked about by few."
The Duchess said she wanted to share her story to shine a light on the grieving process that many women go through every year.
She went on to write how we all need to ask each other the simple words: "Are you OK?"
