The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wished their millions of social media followers a Happy Easter in a sweet new message.
- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wished their 11.5 million social media followers a Happy Easter in a new message this morning.
- Catherine and William shared a picture from their Kensington Palace home alongside the message.
- This follows the royal news that theDuchess of Cornwall included a heartbreaking tribute to her late brother whilst sharing her favourite books recently.
The royal couple - who are spending Easter at their Anmer Hall residence in Norfolk, with their three children - shared a post to their social media this morning.
Taking to their KensingtonRoyal Instagram account, Prince William and Catherine said, 'Wishing you all a safe and happy Easter 🐰🐣', alongside a beautiful picture of the Kensington Palace gardens, with its blooming daffodils.
The picture provided a rare view of the Cambridge family's London home, as well as the extensive grounds that surround the palace - and likely, the spots where Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have been spending a lot of time recently.
Alongside the happy message, they also delivered an important coronavirus statement - reiterating the importance of staying home to their 11.5 million followers.
They finished off the post by saying, '#StayHomeSaveLives'.
Many royal fans replied wishing the Cambridge family a happy Easter too, with messages coming from all across the world - from Los Angeles to Australia.
Catherine and William's Easter message comes following the Queen's official Easter address last night - which for the first time was made as an audio address.
The monarch shared a poignant and resolute message with the nation amid the coronavirus pandemic, reminding them that light is always 'greater' than darkness.
She said, "As dark as death can be - particularly for those suffering with grief - light and life are greater. May the living flame of the Easter hope be a steady guide as we face the future."
On a normal Easter Sunday, the royal family would traditionally gather at Windsor Castle, for the annual church service. Of course, this year is unlike all others - and like the rest of the nation, instead of coming together, the royals will remain isolated in their separate residences.
While the Cambridge's are ensconced in Anmer Hall, Prince Charles and Camilla are in lockdown in Birkhall in Scotland.
The Queen and Prince Philip are isolating at Windsor Castle.
