The poignant message behind the Duchess of Cambridge’s outfit during ‘new Fab Four’ outing

The Duchess of Cambridge was out today alongside husband Prince William and her in-laws, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The new Fab Four – as they’re now being called by fans on social media - were out today to visit the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Loughborough, where they met with patients and staff.

They were given a tour of the therapy areas and spent some time observing patients on their rehabilitation sessions, before visiting the prosthetics workshop.

Duchess Catherine looked very chic in a navy military-style jacket by Alexander McQueen and a flowing midi skirt.

She accessorised her outfit with gorgeous diamonds earrings and a small black bag.

But it turns that her elegant outfit carried a very poignant message, as she was seemingly paying homage to the late fashion designer with her jacket.

Alexander McQueen sadly passed away exactly ten years ago today (February 11), so the duchess seemed to be paying a lovely tribute to him with her outfit choice.

Catherine is a fan of Alexander McQueen’s designs, which include her recent BAFTA dress and her iconic wedding dress, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

Camilla also looked very elegant for the outing, wearing a green wool three-piece outfit by Mr Roy.

This was the foursome’s first outing together in nine years. The last time they had a royal engagement together was back in 2011, when they attended a concert in aid of The Prince’s Trust.
