The Prince of Wales and Duchess Camilla can normally do wrong when it comes to work projects, but it looks like their latest venture hasn't gone down too well with their loyal fanbase.
Prince Charles' charity, the Prince's Trust, has teamed up with Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Whatsapp, and Instagram, to provide digital marketing training courses to the public.
Formerly known simply as Facebook, it was rebranded in October 2021 by CEO Mark Zuckerberg in an attempt to create a 'metaverse' or a shared 3D digital space. The move came shortly after the tech giant came under fierce criticism for facilitating the spread of misinformation and hate speech.
Charles and Camilla paid a visit to Meta's HQ offices in King's Cross, London on Wednesday, where they received a tour of its carbon-neutral premises and enjoyed demonstrations of its virtual reality headsets and futuristic glasses.
They also learned about how Meta is supporting people in Ukraine following Russia's invasion of the country, with Charles even speaking personally to admins of Facebook Groups in Poland that link Ukrainian refugees to essential resources.
At the end of their visit, the couple officially unveiled the new offices with a digital plaque, symbolizing a transition into a more tech-driven world.

"Not too sure about affiliation with meta. They don’t like the truth," one person said.
"Nope not tuning myself into the dystopian 'metaverse' I'll live offline in the real world thanks," another critic wrote.
Others celebrated the initiative, praising Charles and Camilla for their endorsement of forward-thinking ideas.
"They will not be a King and Queen who are out of touch with everyday people," one fan predicted.
"I love that Charles and Camilla embrace the youth of today just like his Father [Prince Philip]," another impressed follower commented.
