When is the last episode of Neighbours and what time is it on?
If you’ve been waiting and wondering what time is Neighbours on and when the last episode of Neighbours will air, then there’s now only a day to wait. For any UK-based fans the Neighbours finale airs on Friday July 29th at 9pm. This follows on from the penultimate episode which will air at the usual times of 1:45 and 6pm.
How to watch the final episode of Neighbours in the UK
As might be expected given Neighbours’ Australian stars and setting, Australian viewers have already witnessed this ending of an era which aired there on July 28th. For UK viewers Channel 5 is the place to head to watch both the penultimate episode and hour-long finale. After this two Neighbours documentaries will air: Neighbours Made Me A Star: From Ramsay Street to Hollywood and Neighbours: All The Pop Hits & More, Especially For You.

When did neighbours start?
Set on the fictional Ramsay Street in Erinsborough, Australian soap opera Neighbours started in March 1985 and aired for the first time in the UK in October 1986. The show originally centered around three families - including the Ramsays and Robinsons, some of which, like Paul Robinson, are still in the show. It initially aired on BBC before making the move to Channel 5 in 2008.
Who’s in the neighbours cast and which characters are returning?
The show originally centered around three families: the Robinsons, the Ramsays and the Clarkes, though since then the show has evolved into include ever more vibrant and intriguing characters and new families.
To this day several members of the original families are still characters on Neighbours though, with Stefan Dennis still a cast member playing Paul Robinson and Melissa Bell playing his sister Lucy.
Other cast members include Ryan Maloney as Toadie Rebecchi, Alan Fletcher as Karl Kennedy and Jackie Woodburne as Susan Kennedy. The alumni of the Neighbours cast also features an impressive number of famous names, many of which are set to return for the last episode. Kylie Minogue’s Neighbours return as Charlene Robinson, formerly Mitchell has been highly anticipated.
Her on-screen husband Jason Donovan will also be back as Scott Robinson and Margot Robbie will also return to Neighbours as Donna Freedman in a special clip. Other actors, who have gone on to have big Hollywood careers, have also confirmed their return to the soap for the finale.

Guy Pearce, who has since starred in Pricilla Queen of the Desert and Brimstone, played Mike Young for three years.
Meanwhile, according to the Radio Times, Ian Smith will also be back as Harold Bishop (Kylie’s on-screen stepfather), as will Peter O’Brien as Shane Ramsay, Olympia Valance as Paige Smith, Holly Valance as Flick Scully, Mark Little as Joe Mangle, Jordan Patrick Smith as Andrew Robinson, Pippa Black as Elle Robinson (Paul’s children from different relationships), Natalie Bassingthwaighte as Izzy Hoyland (Paul’s ex and the father of Karl’s daughter Holly).
Fans will also be excited to see House star Jesse Spencer as Billy Kennedy, singer Delta Goodrem as Nina Tucker, Kym Valentine as Libby Kennedy and Carla Bonner as Steph Scully make their return.
Although it's not known exactly what role each of them will play in the final episode of Neighbours, for many long-time fans this is the perfect way to pay tribute to the entertaining storylines and memorable performances from the past 37 years.
The Neighbours finale will air in the UK on Channel 5 at 9pm on July 29th 2022.
