Ready for the 2026 Emmys? Here's how to watch the star-studded ceremony
There's no need to miss out on one of the biggest evenings for the best of TV talent
The 78th annual Emmy Awards have arrived, and it's one of the biggest nights for the greatest talents on our TV screens.
The Pitt is one of the frontrunners to win big at the ceremony, with Beef, Pluribus, and Widow's Bay among some of the excellent shows nominated at the awards this year, which take place on September 14 in Los Angeles.
Matthew Rhys, Carey Mulligan and Jack Lowden are among the British nominees hoping to take home a trophy from the prestigious event.
If you're Emmys ready but not sure how to watch the ceremony, here's what you need to know about tuning in.
How to watch the Emmys 2026
Viewers can watch the 2026 Emmys on September 14 at 8 p.m. ET, live on NBC. If you have cable, you can tune into their your local NBC channel or use your login to watch from a computer or phone using the CBS website or app.
The ceremony will stream live on Peacock for those with a subscription for a premium tier. The standard Premium tier with ads starts at $13/month, while the ad-free Premium Plus tier starts at $20/month.
If you don't catch the ceremony live, it will be available to stream in its entirety the following day for US subscribers. The Peacock official website doesn't offer free trials, but those hoping to watch without committing to a fully paid up account can do so through their Prime Video account.
Prime Video subscribers can get a seven-day free trial for Peacock as an add on to the Premium Plus plan through the streaming service.
You can also stream the ceremony on sites including YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Sling, FuboTV, and DIRECTV Stream.
Fans of Heated Rivalry, one of the most talked about shows of the year so far, were disappointed to find out the series missed out on being nominated.
Stars of the queer ice hockey romance Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams weren't eligible for nominations because the show is a fully financed Canadian production. Without US involvement, the Emmys cannot recognise the series.
Heated Rivalry will however, be eligible for the 54th International Emmys, which take place in New York on November 23.
After going out on a high, the final series of Stranger Things also failed to score any nominations for its stars in the top categories, with Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour having previously received nominations but not taken home any awards.
Fans of Apple TV's Widow's Bay, which has now amassed a cult following, were delighted to see the breakout comedy-horror hit score a whopping 19 nominations.
British stars Matthew Rhys and Kate O'Flynn are both up for awards, with Rhys also nominated in two different lead actor categories - one for Widow's Bay and the other for The Beast in Me.
The actor said in a statement about his nominations, "Thank you to the TV Academy for nominations for both Widow's Bay and The Beast in Me. I spent the year as a psychopath and a politician, and the Television Academy has generously chosen not to hold either against me… I am so happy that both series were so warmly received this year."
