It's felt like a lengthy wait, but This City is Ours is finally back for season 2. A lot went down during the first season, as the fight for control of the Phelan crime syndicate and Liverpool's criminal underworld got out of hand.

Michael ended season 1 believing he was finally heading off for a peaceful life away from the violence of drug trafficking, to be a good husband to Diana and start a family.

But the universe has other ideas, and as the latest episodes air on BBC One and iPlayer from October 25, they see him pulled back to Liverpool for what is set to be a shocking and cliff-hanger filled second season.
