Victoria Beckham celebrated her 48th birthday on Sunday with an extravagant bash in Miami—complete with a surprising choice of cake for the former Spice Girl.

The British designer enjoyed a lavish party in Florida last night with her family and friends, just a week after she hit headlines for her outfit at Brooklyn Beckham's wedding

The private event, which was held at the Sushi Fly Chicken restaurant in Miami, saw Victoria joined by her husband, David Beckham, and three of their four children, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 17, and ten-year-old Harper, for a fun-filled night of food, drinks, and dancing.

Brooklyn, the couple's eldest, was not in attendance, likely because of timing conflicts with his honeymoon plans. The 23-year-old model married Nicola Peltz on 9 April, in an A-list ceremony that had fashion fans everywhere drooling over Victoria's incredible shimmering silver slip dress

Posh Spice has now turned heads yet again with her birthday outfit, stepping out in a white pantsuit from her own brand to ring in her 48th year. She paired the £2,260 ensemble with strappy black heels and a diamond bracelet, polishing the chic look off with wavy hair.

It was Victoria's birthday cake, however, that truly stole the show—for more reasons than you might think. The retired pop star couldn't hide her awe as the seven-tiered creation, courtesy of her friend, David Grutman, was wheeled carefully out into the bar by three staff members.

The wedding-style cake was decorated with candles and iced with Beckham family photos, as well as a handful of bright red flowers. In the background, a troupe of dancers waved sparklers and a projector with the message, 'Happy Birthday, Victoria!' was hung for all to see.

The Wannabe singer took to her Instagram to share her reaction, writing, "Dave Grutman knows how I love a big birthday cake!"

However, photos of Victoria's birthday cakes over the years tell a much different story. The successful businesswoman has historically celebrated her solar rotations with lighter desserts—some of which don't even technically count as a gateau.

For her 44th birthday, Posh Spice was treated to a cake-shaped watermelon surrounded by strawberries and blueberries.

When she turned 45, she tucked into an iced donut with a solitary candle. Her 46th birthday did include real cake, but, without tiers or photos, it was undeniably less extravagant than her latest one.

Victoria has said in the past that she follows a very limited diet, often only consuming fish and vegetables for dinner. When she's in the mood to 'indulge', she treats herself to salted wholegrain toast—hailing it as the 'carbohydrate you feel comforted by.'
