The M&S Jacket That Won An Oscar

We love gawping at glamorous gowns on the Oscars red-carpet, but the real style hero of this year's Academy Awards was costume designer Jenny Beavan.
As she walked up to the stage to receive her statuette for Best Costume Designer on the film Mad Max: Fury Road, she received plenty of withering looks for her 'unusual' fashion choice.

"I don't do frocks and absolutely don't do heels," Beavans said backstage, "I have a bad back. I look ridiculous in a beautiful gown....This is Marks & Spencer with Swarovski at the back. I had a bit of a shoe malfunction and the glitter fell off. I just like feeling comfortable and as far as I'm concerned I'm really dressed up."
Jenny Beavans, we salute you! If you want to get her look, you'll have to be quick. Her faux leather jacket from M&S is being snapped up quick, and it's little wonder why. With its classic cut and dual zip detailing, it looks ten times more expensive than the £55 price tag.
Faux Leather Jacket, £55, M&S.
