Michelle Obama has made a sad confession about daughters Malia and Sasha.

Former First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama made a sad confession about her grown-up daughters Malia and Sasha when she opened up about their lockdown antics.

The ex-FLOTUS, who is married to former President of the United States Barack Obama, revealed that the couple's two daughters, 22-year-old Malia and 19-year-old Sasha, have become 'sick' of spending with them after the recent coronavirus lockdown that has been going on in different levels throughout the last six months.

Michelle Obama, who recently opened up about her mental health issues, made the sad (and very relatable!) confession when she spoke to American talk show host Conan O'Brian as she made a virtual appearance on his evening show earlier this week.

The mum-of-two, who launched her own podcast earlier this year, revealed that when the nation was first instructed to stay at home as much as possible, the family quite enjoyed themselves and were all "excited to be together".

"We were all being organised and we would spend the days apart doing our respective work - the girls were still in classes in the spring - and so we would be working and then doing a little exercise, and then come together in the evenings," she told Conan as she appeared on his show via a video call.

"We would have these activities. We would have cocktails, and then we would work puzzles, and play games."

"Barack taught the girls how to play spades," she revealed, adding, "we actually had some organised things. Like we had an art exhibit day, where we all went off and did water colour paintings, and then we showed it."

However, Michelle then admitted the two girls are now "itching" to get back to their universities, saying, "Now, Conan, this was in the early stages. I think first our kids got a little sick of us, which was fine because we were pretty much sick of them."

"And so the summer started happening," she continued, "and then we could be outside a little bit more, and we came to the vineyard, where we still are, and so there's more room to roam around and that was good because it helped us break it up.

"And now the kids are back in Zoom land classes They're doing it remotely. And they're no longer thrilled about being with us."

Ah Michelle, it happens to the best of us!
