A popular former Loose Women presenter who starred on the show for five years before her departure in 2014, has suggested she would be open to returning to the programme.
Lisa Maxwell, 45, has confessed that she now loves watching the show, and would ‘never say never’ to the possibility of going back.
She confessed that the show was always ‘a lot of fun’, and that she had some of her ‘happiest times’ whilst starring on it.
Lisa told our sister publication Woman, “I watched Denise and Carol on Loose Women and I think the show is brilliant.
“I’m really enjoying it these days. I have had some of the happiest times doing that show and made some lifelong friends.”
The star then said, “There’s no reason not to go back and it’s a lot of fun, so never say never.”
Lisa hasn’t returned to the programme in over four years – as either a guest or as a panellist.
In fact, she quit in 2014 after admitting that she’d been doing it for too long, having landed in a too comfortable a routine.
After leaving, she confessed, “Loose Women for me, as a mum – finishing at 1.30pm after a live show and then having the day to be a mum and a wifey – was heavenly and just what I needed.
“But it made me very lazy, so I did that for way too long.”
She continued, “I had the time of my life getting drunk and misbehaving with a load of old birds. It was bloody marvellous. It was money for old rope, and a real light relief.”
Since leaving the show, Lisa has returned to her soap roots, taking on the guest role of Tracey Donovan in Channel 4 show Hollyoaks between 2016-2017. She’s also currently starring in the 2018 series of Masterchef, alongside her fellow celebs including Chizzy Akudolu, Gemma Collins, and Spencer Matthews.
Lisa’s also been busy carrying out a range of charity work, as an ambassador for homelessness charity Centrepoint, and as patron of a animal rescue centre.
