Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence stood up for women's rights as they joined a protest in Washington DC.

Celebrity pals Jennifer and Amy took to Washington DC to protest the restrictive abortion law passed in Texas recently. The A-list friends posed for a photograph at the march as the two proudly held their signs.

Amy's banner had a clear and simple message that read, "Abortion is essential." Jennifer opted for a handwritten message that said, "Women can't be free if they don't control their bodies."

The caption of the post from Amy read, "I don’t have a uterus and she is pregnant but we out here @womensmarch @plannedparenthood #rallyforabortionjustice 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼"

Many fans found it inspirational that the star would still take time to protest while pregnant, and many took to the comment section to compliment the soon-to-be-mom for her attendance at the protest.

"You are amazing!! Thanks for using your voice/platform for those that can’t 💛" said one fan.

"Being pregnant and having kids only made me more pro-choice," added one fan.

This isn't the first time that Jennifer has used her platform to make a politically motivated statement. Previously, Jennifer Lawrence urged fans to support the voting bill that defended voter rights in the US and combated those attempting to dismantle Americans' rights to vote.

In the caption, as well as highlighting her friend's pregnancy, Amy referenced the news that she recently had her uterus removed after suffering from severe endometriosis.

Despite not being able to become pregnant again, or even have an abortion from this point onwards, Amy still attended the march for women's rights.

Fans appreciated this action from Amy and applauded her courage in the comment section. "Yas!!!!!!!! I don’t have one either, Abortions are healthcare!!!!!!!!" said one fan in agreement.

"This picture really says it all! No one advocates abortion as an easy option or easy choice but it still needs to be exactly that, a women’s choice," said another.

Celebrity pal Chelsea Handler even joked, "I have your uterus," in the comment section, which was met with mixed results from Amy's followers.

Other celebrities also complimented the pair of A-listers for their statement. Sharon Stone commented, "BRAVA 👏👏👏👏" on the post.

Kate Hudson also commented, "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," and actress Ali Wentworth added, "March for my ovaries!"
