Adele reveals 'drab' real name and ex-husband's 'mindnumbing' guilty pleasure in new makeover interview
Adele opened up about her real name and her ex's favorite reality TV show in a candid new interview
Get your popcorn out, Adele fans—the British superstar has sat down for yet another interview to promote her record-breaking new album.
The English singer appeared on the popular Youtube beauty channel, NikkieTutorials, last night, for a candid chat and a cheeky drink—all whilst getting her glam on, of course.
Always up for the banter, Adele allowed Nikkie de Jager to doll up half (yes, half) her face and leave the other side naked, as part of the Dutch makeup artist's wildly successful 'The Power of Makeup' series.
The Easy on Me singer didn't hold back during the transformation session, answering questions on everything from the Adele 30 album tracklist to her 'wild' experience meeting the legendary Oprah. The surprise interview has done little to cool the fever surrounding the Grammy-award-winner's return to the spotlight, dropping just a couple of days after Adele's Las Vegas residency was announced.
With so many topics discussed in the half-hour video, it can be hard to pull out the important bits. To make things a bit more easy on you (geddit?), we've rounded up a few of our favorite snippets to emerge from the Tottenham native's half-painted lips during the must-see chat.
1. Adele's real name
Die-hard fans might already know this, but for your average Adele listener, it's hardly common knowledge. The star revealed her full name to be 'Adele Adkins' at the beginning of the interview, before admitting she "could never have used" the "drab" surname as her showbiz moniker.
"Adele Adkins does not have the same ring as Adele," she said.

2. Adele's celebrity idol
You know you're mega-famous when you leave Adele star-struck. The 33-year-old shared her strong feelings on Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson during the light-hearted chat, admitting she thinks she "would actually cry" if she met the WWE star-turned-actor in person.
"I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger," Adele said. "He sent me flowers the other day 'cause him and his wife couldn't make my show. Literally, I nearly fell off me chair!"
3. Adele's relationship with Simon Konecki
Adele kept the conversation relatively upbeat with Nikki, having already disclosed some heavy truths on her complicated personal life in previous interviews. She did, however, mention her ex-husband Simon Konecki, sharing some never-before-heard details on the mysterious charity CEO.
The Hello singer confessed that the former couple could never connect over reality TV, despite trying to see eye-to-eye on the matter. After admitting she "can't bear" Love Island, she revealed, "My son's dad loves stuff like that."
When she's looking for some digestible viewing material, Adele prefers to watch more 'educational' shows, like David Attenborough's nature documentaries. Can't say we blame her!
