Adele has opened up about avoiding casual sex after her divorce, revealing she refused to partake in the practice when she returned to the dating scene.

The Easy on Me singer admitted she had zero interest in one-night stands in the wake of her marital split, revealing she preferred to look for committed intimacy rather than no-strings-attached hook-ups.

Speaking to Zane Lowe for Apple Music to discuss the upcoming Adele album, 30, Adele didn't hold back when it came to spilling the beans on her love life as a single mum.

The 33-year-old finalized her divorced from Simon Konecki, with whom she shares a nine-year-old son named Angelo Adkins, back in March, after a two-year-long battle over finances. The separation is believed to be one of the main inspirations for her upcoming record, with Adele's album tracklist's featuring a number of heartbreaking ballads about "self-destruction", "self-reflection" and "self-redemption".

Romance struck the Grammy-award winner again earlier this year, with an Instagram officialization of Adele's new boyfriend, Rich Paul, sending the Internet into a whirlwind in September 2021. The British superstar and the millionaire sports mogul have been dating since spring, having first met each other at a mutual friend's birthday party two years prior.

“He’s just so f— funny. ... He was dancing. All the other guys were just sitting around. He was just dancing away,” Adele recalled in her latest Vogue interview. She also shared details of the blossoming relationship with Rolling Stone, calling it the most "incredible, openhearted, and easiest" romance she's ever had.

While she's undeniably in a happy place today, it hasn't been easy for the Tottenham native to trust others again following the breakdown of her marriage.

Adele has confessed to feeling devastated by her divorce, leaving her wondering how to navigate the dating world after an eight-year-long relationship.

"LA is not the f**king place to go dating when you're Adele, I'll tell you that," she told Apple's Zane Low.  "Watching my friends, it was all casual sex. And everyone has slept with each other. And I was like, 'I'm not doing that. I've left my marriage to go forward, not to f**king go back."

Her sentiments echo those shared in her Rolling Stone interview, in which she admitted she "lasted five seconds" dating in tinsel town. "You can't set me up on a f*****g blind date! I'm like, 'How's that going to work? There will be paparazzi outside and someone will call DeuxMoi, or whatever it's f*****g called! It ain't happening.'"

Adele went on to reveal the dating rules she's established to protect herself in the aftermath of her divorce, listing 'stranger danger' as the No.1 thing on her mind.

"Can't be going out with strangers," she said. "Absolutely not, no." With apps and blind dating off-limits, she prefers to keep her potential suitors a little closer to home.

"There were definitely people that I hadn't seen since I was a lot younger that when I saw as an adult I was like, 'Oh. Oh, okay. Alright, go on then. Stay for dinner.'"
