Chrissy Teigen has successfully broken Twitter ties with President Joe Biden after requesting that he unfollow her on the platform.

The former supermodel's online relationship with the president began last month when he added her to his exclusive Twitter following list of just 13 accounts.

Chrissy, who had been blocked by Donald Trump in 2017, put out a desperate plea to the new POTUS to join her Twitter fanbase of 13.7m folks at the beginning of the year. President Biden fulfilled her wishes to her overwhelming delight, making Chrissy the only celebrity to regularly feature on his feed.

It seems Chrissy Teigen's joy was short-lived, though. The Internet personality, who shares everything about her life from her star-print under-eye patches to her devastating miscarriage, abruptly asked President Biden to unfollow her on Tuesday.

In the light-hearted tweet, she expressed gratitude for his recognition but explained she couldn't 'flourish' until he revoked the honor.

President Biden heard Chrissy's requests for a second time and swiftly deleted her from his following list.

While it hasn't been revealed why the culinary entrepreneur wanted to give up her most famous follower, it's possible it was influenced by the pressure to self-censor. In response to being unfollowed, her tweet would certainly suggest she'd been repressing certain words during her time under President Biden's watchful eye.

Some fans also suggested Chrissy had been concerned about choking the President's feed with her constant posts.

Now that she no longer has to worry about distracting President Biden from his rigorous political duties, it looks like Chrissy's online presence is set to become more candid than ever before.
