Andrea McLean overwhelmed after making the Sunday Times bestsellers list for a second time with her book This Girl is on Fire

The Loose Women host is celebrating her success as a writer

Andrea McLean is celebrating for a second time after her book This Girl is On Fire hit the Sunday Times Bestsellers list.

The TV presenter turned author shared a video clip of her writing a note to put inside her happy jar - which she admits is usually opened on either New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, and captioned it, 'Thank you. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am today.' She explained, 'Today my book This Girl Is On Fire made the Sunday Times Best Seller List, making me a Sunday Times Best Selling author for the second time. I am SO RIDICULOUSLY HAPPY right now.'

Speaking about her passions, Andrea said, 'Writing has always been my first love, and in this book I poured my heart and soul into every word. The feedback I’ve had is incredible, and knowing that it has already made a positive impact on women’s lives, on how they view themselves, on what they think they can or cannot control, on how much happiness they ‘deserve’ to have has been phenomenal.'

Andrea, 51, took to Instagram to thank her fans for buying the latest copy - helping her to reach number five in the top 10 list.

She uploaded the book chart to her Instastory and captioned it, 'Thank you SO MUCH to every single one of you who has bought my book. I hope it has helped you and inspired you...'

She later added an update which read, 'We have a 'HAPPINESS JAR' at home where we write down then pop in anything that we have achieved or has made us happy. THIS has made me SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY today!

Before celebrating with a bottle of bubbly in her hot tub at her family home Andrea reflects on how she has helped others with their parenting or life struggles.

Andrea added, 'Happiness, contentment feeling safe and loved is our birthright, which no one should ever take away from you. I love you guys so very much, THANK YOU to every single one of you who has bought my book, I hope it has helped you feel ON FIRE in all the right ways.'

Andrea, whose first self-help book entitled, Confessions of a Menopausal Woman' also reached The Sunday Times bestsellers list but hit the number one spot in 2019. The Menopause can cause all kinds of symptoms including weight gain.

At the time Andrea told Loose Women viewers, 'I needed to say a huge thank you to you, because I’m number one in female biographies on Amazon and I’m number three on best-selling books on Amazon.'

Sharing her reaction to the news, she went on, saying, 'I can’t tell you how much that means to me, so so so much. Just to know that everyone has got behind it, and that it’s helping so many people. It makes me so so happy, so thank you.'

Andrea recently opened up about having a breakdown last year and revealed how she managed to hide it from her friends and family.
