There are lots of ways to make your home look cosy this season, but what’s the secret to making it feel cosy too? The answer is simple: scent.

We adore this season for its warm, spiced autumnal candles, but this year is bringing something extra special and more unexpected. It also happens to be the way that Tom Daley is making his home feel cosy as soon as you walk through the door.

Carefully placed around this family home, the athlete swears by Air Wick’s new Frost home fragrances. So which scents is he using to make his home warm and welcoming and where does he put them? We sat down with Tom to find out.

Air Wick fragrances has long been a home staple, with a library of scents to suit every mood, but its new collaboration with Tom Daley may be one of its most heartfelt yet. Inspired by the athlete's love of knitting and crochet, the collection is designed to conjure your favourite seasonal memories and wrap your home in a blanket of comforting scent.

"I like to make sure that my home is curated in a way that is not just about the way that it looks, but how it feels as soon as you walk through the door," says Tom, He explains, "for me, home is something that I associate with family, with my boys, and making sure everyone is happy and safe - a large part of that comes down to the scent of your home."

It's easy to see why Tom considered the partnership such a natural fit, because it's all about being cosy at home. While he became a household name for his gold-medal diving, he is just as well known for his crafting talents, knitting and crocheting some seriously impressive projects. For Tom, it's all about feeling "cosy and calm and giving meaningful gifts to my family and friends," he explains. A flickering candle or a softly scented room is, after all, one of the simplest ways to curate a truly cosy space.

The collection features four autumn and winter scents: Smooth Pumpkin Ginger Chai, Cosy Rose Tea, Velvet Vanilla Latte and Warm Mulled Wine, each available as a mist, diffuser and air freshener. The mists are perfect for a quick refresh of a room before guests arrive, the diffusers are brilliant for creating a constant, gentle backdrop of fragrance in a living space, and the air fresheners are an easy way to keep smaller spaces like hallways and bathrooms inviting.

Tom Daley has been scent-scaping his home for the cosy season and it's got us feeling ready for the autumn. Whether you're lighting one of your favourite candles or going for a more low-maintenance diffuser, it's the perfect way to bring fragrance into your home.
