The holiday is booked, the sun cream’s been bought in bulk and your suitcase is already half packed (even though you don’t go until August).
But you still can’t find a decent swimsuit. Sound familiar?
Finding a flattering, supportive and comfortable swimsuit that doesn’t break the bank is one of May’s most dreaded tasks. Luckily John Lewis & Partners has stepped in to help with its summer swimwear range.
With a choice of 130 pieces, the department store’s summer range has everything for every age and body type but there’s a few specifically we’ve got our eyes on.
The brand’s designers have chosen to focus on chest support, incorporating underwiring and side-boning in tops that go up to a FF cup size across the range.
“We’ve used light, medium and firm support linings to offer a range of control options,” John Lewis in-house swimwear designer Hayley Wheatley told the Daily Mail.
“You’ll find hidden construction within our smoother pieces. For example, the Tropicana styles have tailored seaming and full underwiring and padded support concealed on the inside.”
The elegant Tropicana green square necked swimsuit with a stylish detachable belt and an all-important control front lining is just one of the many swimsuits made from Lycra extra life fabric, meaning it won’t get spoiled by chlorine after just one lap of the pool.
A heavier, textured fabric has been used for the Rainforest Rib style, available in a bikini and a flattering, plunge neck swimsuit that has a medium control front lining and a supportive under bust shelf support.
What’s more, is the straps can be worn cross-back for those requiring that extra bit of poolside support.
And lucky for us, the range’s colour palette has been designed in collaboration with the John Lewis & Partners summer womenswear collection (revamped ten months ago and climbing ever-higher in our style stakes) to make the outfit hastily thrown on to run to the bar and back again look effortlessly chic.
