Boobs add depth to an outfit which can sometimes be deceptive - making you look heavier. Individuals with a smaller bust can often pile on the layers without the worry of it making them look bigger than they are. However, with some simple styling solutions it's easy to achieve a gorgeous layered look even if you have big boobs.
Don't miss out on a top trend of the season, follow our simple styling tips so you can achieve an effortless layered look if you've got a bigger bust!
Be Wary Of Turtlenecks
If you've got large boobs, a high neck isn't always the most flattering cut as it emphasises your chest area and can leave your proportions looking slightly exaggerated. Black turtlenecks will be more flattering than lighter colours for a bigger bust and the shorter the actual neck the more flattering it'll be on your top half. When layering with a turtleneck, if you're putting an item on top of it, opt for a slim fitting turtleneck rather than a baggy one - as this may bunch up and make your top half look bigger than it actually is! Although be careful of tight-fitting turtlenecks as you may be able to see your bra underneath through.

Limit Your Layers
Less is more when layering with bigger boobs. Opt for 2 or 3 layers maximum, so your shape does't get too lost underneath all the fabric.
Tailoring Will Work In Your Favour
If you're layering with a dress on top of a jumper, a fitted dress that is tailored to nip in at your waist will be far more flattering that one that just hangs down in a sack-like manner. Likewise, a tailored sleeveless jacket on top of a chunky knit will cut into your figure vertically, giving more shape to your outfit.

Avoid Lots Of Chunky Layers
Whilst chunky knits are great for slouchy weekends, be careful when layering with them if you have a bigger bust because sometimes they can make you look heavier than you are. Avoid oversized knits and try slim fitting knits especially for the base - as you can always have a looser top layer.
Sports Bras and Knitwear Are A Match Made In Heaven
Sports bras often provide better support than more delicate bras so will give your bust a boost underneath all those layers - making your silhouette look instantly slimmer. This Victory Run Bra from Sweaty Betty, £40.00, (opens in new tab) is perfect for a bigger bust as it has high support - great for gym wear and every day wear!
