Kate Middleton turned 39 this weekend - and members of the royal family took to their social media accounts to send her well wishes for her 'lockdown birthday'.

·    Kate Middleton, who celebrated her birthday at home yesterday, said her
thoughts were with ‘frontline staff’ in these ‘challenging times’.

·    The royals - including the Queen, and Charles and Camilla sent her well wishes via
    their social media accounts.

·    In other Royal News,  The Duchess of Cornwall revealed her childhood hobby.

Like most of us Kate Middleton had to spend her birthday at home, probably jumping on Zoom to chat with her friends and family.

However, the Duchess also used the day to send a special message to those working on the frontline. Kate used the @KensingtonRoyal Twitter and Instagram to post a new picture of herself from last year -  when she took part in a three-day tour to meet frontline staff around the UK.

She also thanked everyone for their 'kind' wishes on her birthday and said: "Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time."

The Instagram post was liked nearly 800,000 times, with many fans of Kate leaving birthday messages. While the Twitter post had over 1500 retweets of her message.

Members of the royal family took to social media to share their birthday wishes for Kate - with the @RoyalFamily Twitter account sharing pictures of the Duchess with the Queen, along with the message: "Wishing The Duchess of Cambridge a very happy birthday today!"

Her Father-in-law also sent her a birthday message via social media. Prince Charles and Camilla's Instagram and Twitter account, Clarence House, shared a picture of a smiling Kate, along with the message: "Happy Birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge."

However, Prince Harry and Meghan haven't sent any 'social media' well wishes to the Duchess - after speculation that the couple has quit social media for good.
