A royal expert has claimed Prince Harry and Prince William have a "long way to go" in healing their rift, despite having had a "heart-to-heart" at Prince Philip's funeral.

Prince William and Prince Harry have a "long way to go" in healing their broken bond, a royal expert has warned.
While the brothers made great lengths in breaking the ice at Prince Philip's funeral, Duncan Larcombe revealed Prince William still feels "betrayed" by his brother following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Writing in his Woman column, he said, "After a year of blanking each other, the boys are finally speaking again in the wake of their grandfather's funeral.
"According to sources, they even managed a heart-to-heart before the prodigal prince flew home to the US."
With the brothers finally speaking again, there is hope that the rift can be healed. But there is still a long way to go until there is any chance of a full reconciliation.
"One senior Palace source told me that a great deal of water has yet to pass under the proverbial bridge before the rift is fully healed," Duncan added.
"They said, 'The sight of the brothers chatting at the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral was the start of a far longer conversation they had that day, more of a heart-to-heart. This has certainly raised hopes [that] the deadlock between William and Harry can be fixed, but there is still a long way to go.
'William regards Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview as an utter betrayal, and feelings remain strong among other members of the family. [But] the duke's funeral has reminded Harry of how much he stands to lose if he remains at loggerheads with the [people] who love him."

With Harry having returned home from the US to attend his grandfather's funeral last month, the Duke reunited with his brother and his father to talk things through.
According to The Sun, William and Harry met up with Charles away from the cameras after the televised funeral.
A source revealed, “It is not known what was said behind closed doors and when the cameras were turned off, but it's unfathomable to think Megxit and Oprah did not come up.
The publication reports that Charles had talks with his sons and the three remained together at Windsor Castle for two hours after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.
“It’s early days but you’d hope this is exactly the first step Philip would have wished for," a source explained.
