The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebration plans have been unveiled and the milestone occasion is set to include a wonderful tribute to one the monarch’s great loves.

The Queen will mark her momentous Platinum Jubilee in 2022 and one of the celebratory events will reportedly honor one of her favorite passions. A four-day bank holiday has already been confirmed in the UK for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee as the nation prepares to pay tribute to the extraordinary monarch. With the Royal Family expected to come together for this occasion, many people will no doubt be looking forward to seeing them reunite after the recent pandemic.

The Queen is understood to have invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and so fans could potentially see her great-grandchildren, including their daughter Lilibet and Princess Beatrice’s baby, making a rare appearance. While the guestlist for the Platinum Jubilee has not yet been confirmed, new plans for one of the events have been unveiled and Her Majesty’s love of horses will be celebrated.

According to the official Platinum Jubilee website, the Royal Windsor Horse Show will host a spectacular equestrian display in the Windsor Castle grounds.

The display, called “A Gallop Through History”, will tell the story of Britain’s history from Queen Elizabeth I to Queen Elizabeth II. The event will be broadcast live on ITV in the UK on May 15 and, as reported by ITV, organizers described the event as being a way for the nation to celebrate the Queen’s “constant, courageous and committed presence”.

The celebration will feature more than 500 horses and 1000 dancers and musicians, all with a floodlit Windsor Castle in the background.

This Platinum Jubilee event is also believed to be set to celebrate many of the Queen’s other passions, including the Armed Forces and the Commonwealth, marking India’s 75th anniversary of independence with a Bollywood contribution.

Among the stars speculated to be attending this show are actors Dame Helen Mirren and Stephen Fry, and it’s said that the Queen is playing a big part in shaping the plans for this huge display.

As reported by ITV, producer and director Simon Brooks-Ward revealed that the Queen “wants to know exactly what’s going on within the celebration” as the arrangements are made.
