Queen's Paddington performance: Monarch reveals acting and music skills and what she REALLY keeps in her bag

The Queen and Paddington Bear introduced the Party at the Palace, the jewel in the crown of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The two icons of British culture united and even showcased Her Majesty's not-so-shabby musical ability.

The Queen and Paddington Bear opened the huge event, held in the center of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations in London. In celebration of her 70-year-long reign, Buckingham Palace hosted a huge concert event.

The adorable scene opened with Her Majesty enjoying tea and - you guessed it- Paddington Bear's favorite, marmalade sandwiches. Unfortunately, the hungry little bear scoffed all the snacks and tea before the Queen even had a look in, but not to worry - she revealed two slices of bread in her bag! Proudly asserting that she brings her own.

One Twitter user, @KaylaAdams___ ,said, "We always wondered what The Queen carried in her purse, now we know thanks to Paddington Bear."

In the background, the unmistakable tones of the legendary Queen's We Will Rock You began to play. Hilariously, the Queen playfully tapped her teaspoon against her fine bone China cup in unison.

As Queen's frontman Freddie Mercury sadly died back in 1991, one of the many devastating losses from the AIDs pandemic, Adam Lambert performed the vocals with the group.

Although the Queen wasn't able to attend the event, it was attended by the extended Royal Family, the Queen's grandchildren, the Queen's great-grandchildren, and of course her own children and their spouses.

Sadly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry confirmed via a spokesperson that they wouldn't be attending the party, which falls on their daughter's first birthday. Prince William and Kate Middleton sent Lilibet birthday wishes to mark her big day.

The 22,000 strong audience, made up of key workers, charity workers, and winners of a ticket ballot too.
