Prince Philip’s uncanny resemblance to Prince Harry revealed in vintage magazine photo
Royal fans are stunned by Prince Philip’s resemblance to his grandson, Prince Harry

Prince Philip’s uncanny resemblance with Prince Harry has come to light in a rare vintage photograph – and royal fans are seeing double.
- Prince Philip’s undeniable resemblance with Prince Harry has been revealed in a recently unearthed vintage photo.
- Royal photographer Chris Jackson shared a magazine cover of the late Duke of Edinburgh which demonstrated similar traits between the royal relatives.
- In other royal news, Prince William and Kate Middleton find a special way to help their children cope with Prince Philip’s death.
Prince Philip and Prince Harry may be decades apart in age, but it looks like there's little distance in their genes.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson took to Instagram to share the throwback shot of the Duke of Edinburgh, who died aged 99 last Friday, and to express his awe at the portrait’s familiar features.
“I was blown away the minute I spotted it,” he wrote. “It always reminds me of the unique, historic reference points that Royal photography provides.”
The photo, which graced the February 1957 cover of French magazine Paris Match, depicts a 35-year-old Prince Philip smiling away from the camera. Kitted out in his pristine Navy uniform and wearing a chestnut brown beard, the young duke looks almost identical to his grandson Prince Harry.

Royal fans were quick to notice the parallels, with some even revealing they'd first thought the person in the photo was the Duke of Sussex.
“Thought it was Harry,” one Instagram user commented.
Another follower said that the photo might be forecasting Prince Harry’s future face. “You can see the resemblance Harry has to PP here,” they wrote.
Prince Harry was known to be close to his late grandfather, with whom he shared a passion for military affairs. The retired veterans experienced the hardships of war first-hand, with Prince Philip serving in the Royal Navy in World War II and Harry serving in the British Army for a decade. Prince Harry flew from California to the UK yesterday for Prince Philip’s funeral and has reportedly entered quarantine.
The visit is expected to be highly emotional for the Duke, marking the first time he will speak face-to-face with Prince William since his explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey last month. Despite their allegedly tense relationship, the brothers are predicted to unite in their grief and walk shoulder-to-shoulder at Prince Philip’s funeral.
