Piers Morgan's new documentary aired tonight, where he speaks to convicted murderer Paris Bennett.
In the one-hour episode, Piers Morgan travels to Texas to interview Paris, who murdered his own sister at 13-years-old. The documentary reveals that his sister Ella was only four-years-old when she was killed, which makes the interview even more horrifying.
Paris reveals that he murdered Ella to make his mother suffer, and that he 'took both her children away in one swoop'. During Piers' interview, Paris' mother Charity is sat listening in another room.
For everyone's safety the interview took place behind protective glass, proving that it's not just for theatrics.
"For many, many, years there was just this hot, flaming ball of wrath in the pit of my stomach and it was directed at my mother." Paris explains, when asked about his motivations behind the killing.
He then makes a harrowing confession, saying "One of the reasons that I chose to kill my sister and not someone else is because I knew that by doing so I could’ve hurt my mother in the worst possible way."
Viewers were quick to share their thoughts on the program, and were understandably disturbed by what Paris was saying so openly.
Paris, now 25, is currently serving a 40-year sentence for the murder of his sister, where he stabbed her to death whilst she was sleeping. One key detail that's shocked viewers is that he's eligible for parole, as many believe he shouldn't be allowed to leave at all.
Charity is now a mother to son Phoenix, who was born in 2013. Experts have even advised her to go to go into hiding to protect both herself and Phoenix from any potential harm.
Viewers definitely agree too, horrified that Charity would even tell Paris about her new child.
Near the end of the interview, Paris tells Piers he believes he deserves a 'second chance'."Yes, I did commit a monstrous crime but does that one mistake define my entire life… I don’t think it does."
Psychopath with Piers Morgan aired on ITV1 at 9pm on 27th June, but it's also available on catch up via ITV Hub.
