Andy Murray teaches Kim Sears THIS skill during lockdown

Andy Murray and Kim Sears are making the most of COVID-19 quarantine by practising their tennis skills.

The tennis ace has won three Grand Slam titles in his career and now he’s taking some time to brush his wife Kim up on her skills.

Andy, 32, shared a video on Instagram of the pair playing tennis in their back garden and challenged his 1.7 million followers to pick up a racket and get active whilst in lockdown.

Andy and Kim demonstrated the “100 volley challenge” – which involves continuously passing the ball back and forth without dropping it.

He joked there had been “no fighting or bickering during the filming of this video”.

Alongside the video, Andy wrote, “Sending out a challenge to all tennis players and fans… the 100 volley challenge. There was no fighting or bickering during the filming of this video. I think the last volley was aimed at my head though… enjoy.”

The star then passed the challenge on to rival and fellow tennis player, Roger Federer, and said, “I can’t be the only one who wants to see rog and mirka hitting a few balls together…”

Having played tennis since the age of three, it’s hardly a surprise that Andy has a tennis court in his back garden.

And it's a good job so he can keep up the practice as one of the world’s biggest competitions, Wimbledon, has been cancelled for the first time since World War II due to the coronavirus crisis.

Kim and Andy met at the 2005 French Open and she’s been his biggest supporter ever since.

After being sidelined for two years with an arthritic hip, Andy came back to the court with a vengeance. And it was all thanks to wife Kim.

“There’s a number of times in the last two years that I had stopped,” he confessed. “I was like, ‘I don’t want to do this any more.’ But Kim, she was always trying to keep me going, and trying to help get me back on the court, stay motivated, and always happy for me to go and train and go away and stuff.”

The pair have two children – Edie and Sophia – together.
