Adele gave an amazing performance at London's Hyde Park last night - and became emotional as she reflected on how 'happy' she was to be back performing after five years off.

The Someone Like You singer took to the stage as thousands of fans, including an array of celebrities, watched her perform her biggest hits.

The singer, who finalized her divorce from Simon Konecki last year, hasn't been on tour since 2017 - and admitted how 'nervous' she was to be on stage.

Adele became emotional as the crowd sang the lyrics of her hit song Hello back to her during the start of her concert, and went on to say to her fans, "Hello, I'm so happy to be here."

"Guys, I'm back at home, also where I know. The amount of times I have been up there drunk off of my face, singing along to other artists at these shows."

The Grammy Award winner, who dressed casually for her Hyde park rehearsals earlier this week, went all out for the concert pairing a velvet Schiaparelli dress, which had a low neckline and a floor-length skirt, with gold statement earrings and her hair in a chic up-do.

The 65,000 fans, who watched her belt out her iconic songs such as Rolling in the Deep and her new hits including Easy on Me, also included some famous faces. Tom Crusie was pictured in the backstage area taking selfies with fans, while One Direction star Niall Horan seemed to be enjoying himself with DJ Nick Grimshaw.

Adele, who cancelled her Las Vegas residency at the beginning of the year, after admitting her team wasn't ready for the show, also had news for fans who were hoping to see her perform there.

Weekends with Adele, which was scheduled to take place at the iconic Colosseum in the Caesars Palace Hotel at the beginning of the year, was postponed by the Easy on Me singer just one day before its opening night.

The Brit award winner announced the disappointing news in an emotional video on social media, citing staffing shortages and production delays due to Covid-19. She also apologized for the inconvenience and promised to reschedule the dates, tearfully insisting, "I'm going to finish my show and I'm going to get it to where it's supposed to be."

Last night Adele revealed to the crowd, "I had my shows that I was supposed to be doing but they didn't happen."

"But we're announcing them very, very soon. I'm just waiting on one piece of equipment."

The singer, who will also perform tonight, spent the evening surprising fans with her songs, including Rumour Has It and To Make You Feel My Love, while also talking to them between songs. She even stopped her performances to make sure they were okay - when a few fans looked like they were getting crushed in the crowds.
