Grapefruit, Cottage Cheese and Prawn Salad Recipe

  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1/4 cup (2 oz./55 g) very low fat cottage cheese
  • 2 oz. (55 g) fresh, peeled prawns
  • 1 tablespoon capers
  • Pinch of paprika
  • Salt and pepper


  • Cut grapefruit in half

  • Remove the pulp with a grapefruit knife

  • Remove the pith and cut into large cubes

  • Mix the cottage cheese, prawns, capers, and paprika in a bowl, and season with salt and pepper

  • Mix in grapefruit cubes

  • Scrape any remaining pith from one grapefruit half, and serve salad in grapefruit peel “bowl”
