Ingredients
Cheese straws
- ready-rolled sheet of puff pastry
- finely grated Parmesan or Gruyère
Maple, sesame and mustard sausages
- cocktail sausages
- wholegrain mustard
- maple syrup
- sesame seeds
Method
Cheese straws Take a ready-rolled sheet of puff pastry and sprinkle over finely grated Parmesan or Gruyère. Fold it in half, roll again then glaze the whole thing with beaten egg. Scatter over poppy seeds, sesame seeds or more grated cheese. Cut into strips then twist and place on baking sheets. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes at 200 C, 180 C fan, 400 F, gas 6 or until browned and risen.
Maple, sesame and mustard sausages A real favourite – bake cocktail sausages in the oven until cooked through and browned. Then toss through wholegrain mustard, maple syrup and sesame seeds. Return to the oven for 5 minutes then serve.
