Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s daughter is rumored to receive this title once she’s born
Despite the name feud, sources say their daughter will be born a Lady

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will soon be welcoming their second child, who is rumored to be born a Lady. According to Newsweek, sources claim that their daughter is in line to receive a title, which means once she’s born, she will automatically be considered a Lady.
- News of the title comes after the name feud that occurred when Meghan and Harry's son Archie was born.
- Their daughter will take on the same title that was given to Harry’s mother Diana when she was known as Lady Diana Spencer before her marriage to Prince Charles.
- In other royal news, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already come up with a unique birth plan for their daughter.
Once their daughter is born, she will be given the same title that Harry’s mother Diana once had. Before her marriage to Charles, Diana was known as Lady Diana Spencer, which will be the same title Meghan and Harry's daughter (who is expected this summer) will automatically receive.
Garter Principal King of Arms Thomas Woodcock explained to Newsweek how the titles worked saying, “Any daughter would automatically, as the daughter of a duke, be Lady and then her Christian name…and then Mountbatten-Windsor.”
The Royal Family’s relationship with Meghan and Harry has been a bumpy one, especially after the release of Oprah's tell-all interview. During the interview, the couple talked about private discussions with family members regarding the rules on titles. Apparently, some members wanted to change the rules, which would mean that their son, Archie, would not be titled Prince once Charles becomes king.
Archie was offered the title Earl of Dumbarton, but the couple turned the offer down and opted to instead title him ‘Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor’. It was said Meghan and Harry made the decision in an effort to help give their son as normal a life as they could.
Even though the couple turned down the Lord title for their son, Woodcock further explained that any other children Meghan and Harry decide to have will automatically be given the title lord or lady.
