The sentimental meaning behind Jennifer Aniston’s tattoo revealed

Jennifer Aniston’s tattoo may not have been noticed by everyone, but those who have spotted it will no doubt be eager to discover the hidden meaning behind it. The actor, who is perhaps best known for her role as Rachel Green in the 90’s sitcom Friends, recently revealed her relationship deal-breaker. Whilst a Friends fan took to TikTok last month to reflect on a particular vocal quirk the star had during the show that had previously gone unnoticed. 

Meanwhile, Jennifer's hair has remained a cause of delight as she unveiled a new hair transformation for the new season of The Morning Show. The actor always looks fabulous in her films and shows, though with costumes often hiding it, some fans might not know that Jennifer has a tattoo on her wrist that reads 11:11. 

But it seems that Jennifer is not the only one to have this intriguing tattoo - and that might just be the key to unraveling its significant meaning. 

Taking to Instagram on February 11, Jennifer’s close friend Andrea Benewald paid a sweet tribute to the talented actor on her 52nd birthday. In a deeply personal Instagram post, Andrea shared throwback pictures of the two of them together.

The second snap of Jennifer and Andrea is the one that will likely have delighted fans the most as it revealed that Andrea has a matching 11:11 tattoo in an identical place on her own wrist. 

Some have suggested following this revelation that the tattoo is a wonderful tribute to friendship and their long-term bond. It’s a connection that Jennifer certainly seems to have held very dearly too, as just a few weeks after this enlightening post, the Dumplin’ star returned the gesture on Andrea’s birthday on March 4. 

Jennifer wished Andrea a happy birthday, reportedly sharing a series of photos of her best friend on her Instagram Stories - including the same photograph of their matching tattoos. 

Whilst Jennifer has never officially confirmed the meaning behind her 11:11 tattoo, there have certainly been more than a few theories and suggestions over the years.

Last year, PEOPLE reported that a source explained she is “very spiritual” and believes the numbers in her tattoo are good luck. “The number 11 is also special to her because of her birthday and Norman,” the source claimed, adding that Aniston “still misses” Norman, her beloved Welsh Corgi-Terrier who passed away in 2011. Terriers and Welsh corgis are both medium dog breeds that make perfect pets and Jennifer certainly seems to have loved Norman. 

Whether or not the suggestion that her tattoo's meaning is linked to him is indeed the case remains to be seen. It could be that the special tattoo has several meanings for the Hollywood star. 

But the revelation that Jennifer’s tattoo matches her close friend's tattoo is certainly a lovely one.
