The heartbreaking 'sign of the times' reminding the Queen her reign is ending
A royal expert says the Queen realises the end of her reign is coming

The heartbreaking 'sign of the times' reminding the Queen her reign is ending soon has been revealed by a royal expert, claiming Her Majesty has accepted that her time on the throne will end in the coming years by making back-up plans for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
- Royal expert Duncan Larcombe says the Queen is making other plans for her Platinum Jubilee to be back-ups for if her ongoing health struggles plague her over the big weekend.
- Her Majesty is said to be set to swap her usual royal carriage for a Range Rover to Trooping the Colour in June, with Duncan claiming she's determined to make things work.
- This royal news comes after Kate Middleton proved that Princess Charlotte is her mini-me in the most glam way.
With the Queen, who officially moved from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle earlier this year, set to mark 70 years on the throne with a long weekend of Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, a royal insider has revealed that she has set her sights on being present for the occasion, even if she has to take drastic measures.
Royal author Duncan Larcombe says the long-reigning monarch is aware that the changes in the way she marks big royal celebrations is a 'sign of the times' highlighting that her time on the throne is nearing its end.
"You can’t do the Trooping of the Colour via Zoom. If you could, I’m sure she would, so the next best thing is a Range Rover," Duncan told OK! magazine.
"The public will just be pleased that she’s carrying on, even though it seems her body isn’t allowing her to do anything," he added, highlighting just how special the big weekend will be for the nation and the royal family alike.
Pointing out that the Queen is aware of what her age means for her as a monarch, Duncan continued, "The jubilee celebrations are a stark reminder that the Queen is in the last few years of her reign.
"These are drastic measures which won’t be reversed, and unfortunately it’s the sign of the times for the Queen at 96."
