Sophie Wessex smiling ear to ear in festive headgear is just the dose of Christmas spirit you need to get in the mood for Santa coming to town!

It's previously been said that Sophie Wessex being in the spotlight is what Prince Philip 'would have wanted' and it seems like day by day, his final wishes are coming true.

In her latest public appearances as a senior royal, the Countess of Wessex kicked off December in the most Christmassy manner possible with two days of back-to-back Yuletide events.

On December 1, 2021 the philanthropic royal visited the Disability Initiative in Camberley, Surrey, to take part in interactive sessions with clients ahead of the United Nations International Day of Persons with a Disability on Friday, December 3, 2021.

The Countess, who has been a patron of Disability Initiative since 2003, sported a jaunty little Santa hat headband and enjoyed goofing around with volunteers and people who have been helped by the charity.

Happy to get her hands dirty and smiling the whole time, Sophie got involved with chocolate Christmas sculpture-making and Christmas wreath making too.

It's not the first time we've seen the down-to-earth royal letting her hair down. Who could forget the time Sophie Wessex ditched royal demeanor as she sported army gear to play video games?
