Royal fans are going wild for this romantic snap of Kate Middleton and Prince William
The couple posted the picture on their Instagram account to wish fans a Happy New Year

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared a rare picture of them holding hands—and fans think it's romantic.
- The Instagram picture shows Kate and William holding hands and smiling into the camera
- The couple are rarely affectionate with each other in public—instead keeping it professional when together

The Instagram snap, which showed the couple on the way to the James Bond premiere, earlier this year, got a lot of attention from fans—with over a million likes.
Along with the picture, which shows why Kate's smile was voted one of the best in the world, they also wrote, "Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!"

Fans loved the adorable snap showing their more romantic side, with some calling them a 'lovely couple' and others saying how 'genuine' they were.
One fan even went on to say, "You two really love each other. Far from pretending in front of the media and cameras, you really love each other even behind the scenes." While another said, "Beautiful! Keep shining that light of love and unity."
The photo was taken just before the James Bond premiere, in London, last September - where the Duchess wowed everyone with her floor-length, gold sparkly gown, with a cape.
On the night Kate and William were joined by Camilla and Charles—while the royals in attendance not only got to see the movie but also to meet 007 himself, Daniel Craig, who apparently told Kate how 'jolly lovely' she looked.

Kate and William are said to have spent Christmas at home with their three children—after the Queen cancelled a big family Christmas at Sandringham.
The Duchess must have spent Christmas Eve, however, nervously awaiting her first public piano performance to air on TV. But of course, she had nothing to worry about—as she delighted fans with her amazing skills during the Royal Carols: Together At Christmas service at Westminster Abbey, which aired on ITV on Christmas Eve.
Kate played the piano alongside Tom Walker, who sang his new song For Those Who Can’t Be Here. And despite appearing composed and a total natural during the piano performance, Kate—who wore a festive red dress for the occasion—was “quite nervous” according to her co-performer Tom.
