Part of the trailer for the documentary, which is set to appear on August 13th, shows the young couple being interviewed just after getting engaged, with Prince Charles saying, "I remember thinking what a very jolly and amusing and attractive 16-year-old she was."
While he then goes on to ask Diana, "I don't know what you thought of me?" To which she replies, "Pretty amazing."
The trailer for the show, which had its premiere at the Sundance film festival, then goes on to show other archive clips of Princess Diana. It explores how the paparazzi intruded on her life and her divorce from Prince Charles in 1996.
HBO has said about the documentary, "Intensely emotional, The Princess is a visceral submersion into Diana's life in the constant and often intrusive glare of the media spotlight."

"The film unfolds as if it were in the present, allowing viewers to experience the overwhelming adoration, but also intense scrutiny of Diana's every move and the constant judgment of her character. Through archival material, the film is also a reflection of society at the time, revealing the public's own preoccupations, fears, aspirations and desires."
It's not the first time a documentary has been made about the late Princess - with another called The Peoples Princess hitting cinemas last month. According to the documentary's producer, it's a sombre reminder of why Prince Harry was so concerned about 'history repeating itself' with Meghan Markle.
During the now infamous Oprah interview, Prince Harry opened up about Princess Diana's pain and shared fears that history would repeat itself, with Meghan suffering at the hands of the press, paparazzi and public opinion much in the same way as Diana is depicted having done in the documentary.
