Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla earn ‘respect’ for ‘wonderful work’ almost two months after the Queen was last seen in public
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have been praised by fans for their dedication to royal duties at this difficult time.

Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have earned the “respect” of fans for their “wonderful work” after their latest outing, which took place almost two months since the Queen was last seen in person.
- The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall stepped out on December 14 to thank Wandsworth Foodbank volunteers and staff for their vital community work.
- Their latest outing could be seen to show how both senior royals have stepped up even more after the Queen’s recent health woes.
- This royal news comes as we reveal why Prince George and Princess Charlotte will face major changes this January.
As the eldest of the Queen’s children, the Prince of Wales regularly attends important engagements and he and Duchess Camilla have been observed taking on a busy schedule of visits since the monarch was advised to “rest” in October. The couple’s latest festive visit took them to Wandsworth Foodbank in South London where they gave thanks to staff and volunteers.
As revealed in an heart-warming post shared on the couple’s social media pages, Wandsworth Foodbank was started by congregation members of St Mark’s Church in 2013 who responded to the growing need they saw in their community. The foodbank provides emergency food, but support and advice to people and families in need across Wandsworth. Last year, they delivered over 11,000 emergency food supplies to local people’s homes during the pandemic.
During their visit, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla paid tribute to the vital work done by Wandsworth Foodbank to support their community.

And the couple’s own hard-working natures, as well as their commitment to their royal duties at what is likely a challenging time hasn’t gone unrespected by royal fans. Many were quick to comment their appreciation for Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s dedication to important organizations and charities such as Wandsworth Foodbank.
“Our wonderful, remarkable, lovely, hard-working Prince and Duchess ❤️❤️❤️”, one royal fan declared proudly.
Another person seemed to share their view, writing, “It’s lovely to see these two out together 👏👏”.

“Great work lovely couple”, someone else expressed warmly.
“👌hard working prince and duchess .. Wonderful work”, a fourth fan wrote.
Whilst another commented simply, “Beautiful job respect for all of you 👏❤️”.
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s royal tribute to Wandsworth Foodbank is a hugely inspiring one, especially at this time of year, which despite bringing great joy can also be a very difficult time for many. The engagement is also incredibly significant as it could be seen to showcase just how much the couple have been stepping up since the Queen was advised to “rest”.
Back on 19th October, Her Majesty hosted a reception at Windsor Castle, just days before it was announced by Buckingham Palace that the Queen spent a night in hospital and had since returned in “good spirits” to Berkshire. Since then the Queen pulled out of her Remembrance Sunday service appearance after spraining her back. Though she’s returned to “light” duties, has not attended an in-person engagement since the reception.
With the Prince of Wales first in the royal line of succession he's certainly been busy throughout her time resting. Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla undertook an overseas trip to Kate Middleton’s childhood home in November.
Upon their return to the UK they have been regularly glimpsed at important visits and engagements, both separately and together. Their dedication at this challenging time is wonderful to see and as the Queen’s Christmas 2021 celebrations approach, it’s thought fans might get a glimpse of the monarch in-person once more over the festive season.
