On the eve of his funeral, Mike Tindall has shared a touching photograph showing a moment between the late Prince Philip and his great-granddaughter, Mia Tindall.

Mike Tindall has shared a special photo from the family's personal photo album.

The photograph was taken by the Duchess of Cambridge of the pair enjoying a meal together in an idyllic woodland setting. Both look happy and relaxed, no doubt enjoying each other's company.

To the right of the Duke is a half-drunk pint of beer.

Mike captioned the sweet picture, 'It’s been a very sad week but it has given us time to reflect on great memories and stories both personal and shared. A devoted family man who we will forever miss but always love.

Followers were quick to show their admiration for the Duchess of Cambridge's handiwork, praising the candid snap.

'This is such a lovely pic!' Wrote one. While another said, 'What a nice, natural photo.'

A third commented, 'A blessing for your daughter to have known her great-grandfather!'

While a fourth wrote, 'I met him twice and he seemed a lovely person in my personal opinion so I feel for every member of his family who has lost a much-loved family member and that's without taking into account the work he undertook for this country and hundreds of charities.'

Prince Philip's funeral will take place today in Windsor at 3pm.

The procession beforehand will be broadcast on stations across the UK, but you can watch Prince Philip's funeral from anywhere in the world with a VPN service.

RIP, Philip, we're sure that it will be a lovely service.
